A Kind of Spark - Book Adaptation

BBC Children's and 9 Story Media Group to bring book adaptation "A Kind of Spark" to UK screens.

Filming has begun on the Tatton Estate this week for BBC Children and Canada-based production company 9 Story Media's book adaptation "A Kind of Spark".

A Kind of Spark by Scottish author Elle McNicoll tells the story of Addie, a “bright and sparky” autistic girl, dreaming of acceptance in a conservative community. Her desire to be herself and protect her sister from prejudice becomes entwined with a historical mystery of 2 sisters in the 16th century. As she campaigns for a memorial in memory of the witch trials that took place in her Scottish hometown. Addie knows there’s more to the story of these ‘witches,’ just like there is more to hers.

Targeting kids ages seven to 12, the eight x 24-minute show focuses on magic, mystery and inclusion.

Tatton TV & Film are thrilled to provide unit bases and various locations for the above production and look forward to seeing it on the big screen next year.
