FOOD, FARMING AND THE ENVIRONMENT

Farming on the Estate

The Tatton Estate farms approximately 3,000 acres and in addition to this we have, 1,743 acres operated across 16 tenancies with 527 acres dedicated to grazing.

The core farm enterprise is centred around an arable rotation combined with our stewardship schemes.

Our Estate

Our Landscapes

Nature and landscape take precedence, ensuring a thriving environment.

Crops we cultivate

We produce a wide variety of crops on the estate, supporting the production of high quality milling wheat, oats, beans and barley.

Our food journey

From field to fork – our estate farming produces over 400 tonnes of wheat each year, enough to make 680,000 loaves of bread.

Wildlife & Hedgerows

A focus on the biodiversity and natural habitats.

Soil

By reducing pesticides, synthetic fertilisers and adopting new technologies we enhance and protect soil quality. This boosts carbon storage and climate resilience.
