The Ashley Hall Showground, on Tatton Estate, was host to the hugely successful Brit Fest, which made its debut with an incredible turnout of 15,000 attendees over a spectacular weekend.

Hosted for the first time at the Ashley Hall Showground, the festival featured an impressive lineup of iconic British music acts, drawing visitors from across the UK. Headliners included renowned artists such as Scouting for Girls, Bonnie Tyler, and Heather Small. The main stage also saw unforgettable performances from T’Pau, Nik Kershaw, Kim Wilde, Paul Young, Sonia, Deniece Pearson, Owen Paul, The Real Thing, Cast, Dodgy, The Feeling, Fleur East, Hot Chocolate, Starsailor, and Reef.
Bonnie Tyler’s Saturday night performance was a highlight, while festival-goers also enjoyed a diverse array of bands, choirs, DJs, solo acts, cover outfits, authors, wellness experts, and motivational speakers on the site’s ABC+ Warranty Stage. Family-friendly attractions included a funfair and a myriad of food, drink, and shopping stalls, ensuring there was something for everyone.
The Brit Fest was the brainchild of Olivier-nominated brothers Anthony and Edward Prophet, who aimed to celebrate the best of British music, food, drink, and culture. Reflecting on the event’s success, Anthony Prophet said, “The festival weekend was absolutely brilliant, with a fantastic atmosphere throughout the showground. We were particularly struck by the sense of unity and community among the crowds. Staging a celebration like The Brit Fest has been a long-held dream, and we are incredibly proud of the strong program we offered for our inaugural event. It’s also a great base from which to plan our future festivals.”
Feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive. Lyndsey Holden remarked, “Brit Fest was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere, range of activities, and fantastic entertainment made for an unforgettable experience.” Another attendee, Judie Tingle, added, “Absolutely fantastic! I loved it! Happy and perfect atmosphere, everyone happy – no trouble. Very friendly vibe.”
