The Brit Fest 2025: A Record-Breaking Weekend of Music, Memories and Community at Ashley Hall Showground

Beautiful Brit Fest on the Tatton Estate

Ashley Hall Showground came alive earlier this month (July 2025) as The Brit Fest 2025 brought 30,000 festivalgoers together for four unforgettable days of music, love, and connection – right here on the Tatton Estate.

This year’s festival didn’t just deliver iconic performances and a feel-good atmosphere, it also broke a world record: the largest ever Hokey Cokey, led by Black Lace, who kept the party going with a giant site-wide conga.

A Star-Studded Line-Up

Set against the beautiful Cheshire countryside, the festival hosted some of the biggest names in British music, with headline acts including UB40 featuring Ali Campbell, Razorlight, 10cc, Midge Ure, Thompson Twins’ Tom Bailey, Blancmange, Hue & Cry, Cutting Crew, The Fizz, Katrina and Musical Youth. The opening night set the tone in spectacular style with Squeeze, Badly Drawn Boy and China Crisis.

More Than Just Music

While the main arena was the heart of the festival, there was plenty more for visitors to discover across the site from mini golf and fire walking, to immersive workshops and ‘Busk Stops’ showcasing emerging talent. Daily dress-up themes added an extra splash of colour, while hosts Jenny Powell and Mike Toolan kept the energy high throughout the weekend.

For families and friends alike, the atmosphere was electric – even the unpredictable British weather couldn’t dampen spirits!

Supporting Local Talent and Community

At the Tatton Estate, we’re proud to see Ashley Hall Showground once again bring people together and shine a spotlight on the best of our region. Festivalgoers enjoyed incredible food and drink from local favourites such as The Con Club, Most Bakery, Sigiriya, and Tipsy Tea, while the towns of Altrincham, Hale, and Knutsford welcomed visitors travelling in via the free shuttle service supporting local businesses and showcasing all Cheshire has to offer.

This year’s charity partner, Seashell, delivered one of the weekend’s most emotional highlights, as students Max and Sam took to the main stage to a standing ovation, raising thousands of pounds for their vital work with children and young people.

Award-Winning Organisers

The Brit Fest continues to go from strength to strength, with the team behind it – Great British Festivals – recently honoured with a High Sheriff’s Award for Community Contribution, multiple national award nominations, and being named Freemen of Altrincham by the historic Court Leet.
