A Design for Knutsford – Residents call for a Design Code and Masterplan
Following the recent community drop in session held by the Tatton Estate to discuss how best to plan for growth in Knutsford, 95% of respondents agreed that a Design Code and Masterplan would be a good idea for the town. Around 200 people attended the event where award-winning architect John Simpson spoke about how a Design Code could benefit a town like Knutsford.
Attendees were invited to share their thoughts on the best way to preserve Knutsford’s special character, the priorities facing the town as it grows and the impacts on local infrastructure.
A wide range of issues were discussed, and the feedback we received showed overwhelming support for a locally consulted Design Code and Masterplan to lead development in Knutsford.
Any questions or comments are welcomed at Tatton Group’s office, please call 01565 654107 and say that you would like to be contacted in reference to the design code. Tatton Group are acting on behalf of their client the Tatton Estate.
A Design Code will only be possible with the backing of Knutsford Town Council and Cheshire East Council. Click here to contact Knutsford Town Clerk, the ward representatives for Knutsford at Cheshire East Council and our MP, Esther McVey, to let them know whether you think a Design Code and Masterplan should be introduced to protect and enhance the town.
