After the hugely successful inaugural charity event in 2014, Knutsford beer festival will be back again on Friday 24th and Saturday 25th April. There will be around 40 beers being showcased, for visitors to taste and buy, at the Town Hall building. Knutsford Heritage Centre – ‘Knitsford’ Socks for Soldiers
Socks for soldiers will be held on Saturday 28th March and is one of the final events the heritage centre is holding in commemoration of the centenary of WWI. Throughout the day, there will be a spinning demonstration and ‘Knitsford’ will be recreating the knitting craze of WWI. Visitors will also be offered the opportunity to get involved and have a go themselves. Monckton Properties Ltd, part of the Tatton Estate, provides the Heritage Centre and many other community assets in and around Knutsford.
Knutsford Town Mayor’s Civic Ball – ‘Rock with the Mayor’
The final fundraising event in the Mayoral calendar will be held at Leicester Warren Hall on Saturday 21st March. It is once again expected to be a night filled with entertainment, with local businesses donating items for the grand raffle and auction The night will be in aid of Knutsford GROW, of which Tatton Estate Management is the Corporate Patron and sponsor of their new Reaseheath Bursary.
Lions Street Fair
On the Late May Bank Holiday Monday, Lions Street Fair will be held on King Street between 11am and 4pm to raise funds for local causes. The road will be closed for the duration of the fair, with stalls lining the main shopping streets and entertainers to be found at various locations. Tea on the Green – Bostock Village
We are very excited to announce Bostock Green as the venue for the first ‘Tea on the Green’ event this summer on Sunday 28th June 2015 between 2 and 6pm. The afternoon is set to be fun-filled and proceeds are due to be donated to the North West Air Ambulance. The Hayhurst Arms (CW10 9JP), adjacent to the green, will have tea, sandwiches and refreshments on offer and a large marquee with a vintage feel will also be set up to provide shade and seating. The green will be transformed for the day, with various activities and forms of live entertainment taking place. More details of which are yet to be announced!
North West Air Ambulance – ‘Take to the Skies Challenge’
On Saturday 26th September, charitable daredevils will be taking part in a tandem free-fall skydive at the Black Knights Parachute Centre, Lancaster, in order to raise funds for the North West Air Ambulance. To get involved by booking your place on a dive, you’ll be helping to keep the air ambulances flying 365 days a year.
Knutsford Royal May Day 2015
Knutsford Royal May Day celebrated its 150th year in 2014 and remains hugely popular to this day, attracting vast numbers of visitors to the town over May Day weekend.
The event is held annually on the first Saturday of May and includes a procession through the town, culminating on Knutsford heath, where the May Queen is crowned and local children entertain the crowds dancing around the May Pole. Click here to open the Knutsford Royal May Day website.
Knutsford heath also boasts “John Collins’ biggest bank holiday fun fair”, running from Thursday evening on the 30th April to Bank Holiday Monday on the 4th May. The heath also plays host to a free firework display on the Sunday evening for everybody to enjoy.
Mr Randle Brooks, owner of the Tatton Estate, is president of the Royal May Day and provides the Heath as a venue for this and many other community events.
Knutsford Christmas markets

Running from 1pm-9pm on Friday 30th November and 10am-4pm on Saturday 1st December, the Christmas Market is returning to Knutsford. The covered market will be located on the Silk Mill Street car park, and features a fantastic array of stalls with lots of Christmas gift ideas.
