CFH Hunter Trials
Cheshire forest hunter trials will be taking place on Sunday 14th June at Lea Manor Farm, Backford, Chester. Riders will have the opportunity to qualify for the Horseware National Hunter Trial Series. For more details on how to apply and entry fees, please follow this link.
Traction Engine Rally
The Traction Engine Rally will kick start the events calendar at Ashley Hall Showground for 2015. Running over the weekend from the 23rd to 25th May, there will be entertainment and attractions suitable for all generations. Alongside classic cars and vintage tractors will be trade and craft stands, a fine food marquee and appearances from Paddington Bear and SpongeBob Squarepants. Cheshire Forest Hunt Fun Rides
Held in the grounds of Peover Park on Sunday 22nd March, Friday 3rd April and Sunday 19th April. Riders of all ages and abilities can participate in an informal ride along marked out routes, with optional jumps. Both horses and ponies are welcome to enjoy the opportunity of exercise in the open countryside.
Mobberley Rose Queen
Originating in 1922, the tradition is kept alive anually, with a procession of colourful floats and children adorned in fancy dress making their way through Mobberley village from the Victory Hall. This year it will take place on Saturday 6th June, with the procession being followed by the traditional crowning of the Rose Queen and entertainment for the guests.
Ashley Rose Queen and Garden Party
On Saturday 16th May, the day begins at 2pm with the crowning of the Rose Queen. Ashley village offers free entrance to the fields of Sunnyside Nursery and fun-filled acitivties throughout the day. Attractions inclusing BBQ’s, tombolas and Morris dancing. All proceeds from the day are donated to St Elizabeth’s Parish Church.
Country Land Association Game Fair
The 2015 CLA Game Fair will be held at Harewood House, Leeds from Friday 31st July to Sunday 2nd August. There will be exhibitions from across the country and the Totally Food Show will celebrate British food at its best, with cookery demonstrations by familiar chefs. Friends of the Heath Litter Pick
This years litter picks will take place on the following Sundays; 29th March, 21st June and 27th September. They’re a great way to meet other local people and do something positive within the community. Anybody is welcome to come along and the Tatton Estate provide refreshments to everybody that helps.
National Gardens Scheme – Peover Hall
On Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st May, the Gardens of Peover Hall are open to raise money for nursing and caring charities. The public are invited to browse the beautiful gardens and wander among the lily ponds, topiary work, walled gardens and secret passageways. Tabley Races – Cheshire Forest Point to Point
The first point to point steeplechase of the day will begin at 1pm on Sunday 12th April, alongside a selection of trade stands and a funfair. A selection of food caterers and a licensed bar will be available, but visitors are also welcome to bring along a picnic to enjoy within the grounds of Tabley House.
